Some common alternative and non-invasive healthcare treatment plans include Ayurveda, naturopathy, yoga, and oriental medicine. You will be amazed to know that these practices have percolated since the old times. Read in detail about these non-invasive health treatments below.

Ayurveda

It is the world’s oldest holistic body healing system. The main goal of the modality is to target the cause of the disease. Modern medicine mainly targets the symptoms. However, Ayurveda therapy finds out the inherent body composition of the incumbent before performing any treatments or suggesting any medication. The main aim of this alternative healthcare system is to prevent disease and keep the body healthy. The five essential elements of nature, air, water, fire, space, and earth govern all the analyses and therapies in Ayurveda.

Before you devise a routine healthcare plan, you must ascertain body types. There are three main types of doshas—vata, pitta, and kapha. Whenever there is an imbalance in between these, diseases crop up. So Ayurveda aims to correct the imbalance first and then suggests therapies. It can treat diseases of the internal organs, skin, and mental health problems as well.

Joint Manipulation

One of the primary ways that alternative healing takes place is through touch. You must have heard the words, “heal by touch’?” Chiropractors provide such treatment. Most practitioners perform hands-on manipulation to align the body’s musculoskeletal structure. Mostly, the target area is the spine. It is from here that nerves proceed to other organs of the body. However, it treats problems apart from ones that are only concentrated on the nerves. Most practitioners use moderate pressure to deep-tissue massage techniques to alleviate and cure the problem zones.

One can get rid of stress, joint pain, and trauma. Sometimes, many patients undergo this treatment along with primary healthcare modalities. The treatment plan may involve a physical examination and specific diagnostic tests as well. Most people consider it an effective treatment for lower back pain, which most consider chronic in nature. You can treat many issues, like migraine, headaches, sports injuries, and concussion treatments.

Naturopathy

Another therapy or healthcare system doing the rounds today is naturopathy. You will find it as a combination of modern and traditional healing methods. The treatment plan is a bit different from the last two that we talked about. This treatment often focuses on diet and stress management. You should know about the fantastic principles that it focuses on. The first thing that a naturopathic doctor suggests is lifestyle changes. You can treat yourself on a personal level through various lifestyle changes.

Moreover, education is the key here. The doctor will often teach the patient to self-heal. Prevention is the main motto under most circumstances. So here, there is a slight similarity between Ayurveda and naturopathy. Naturopathic treatments often include diet recommendations, detoxification, hydrotherapy, and psychotherapy. You can get treated for heart diseases, diabetes, pain, depression, and some other chronic illness, with the help of this healthcare treatment.

Yoga

This is a 5,000-year-old holistic science that people are adopting today. You will come across various schools of yoga. There is hatha yoga, ashtanga yoga, kundalini yoga, and vinyasa yoga, to name a few. Yoga is one practice that can align the mind, body, and soul. Breathwork is an essential feature of yoga that makes the mind concentrate on the present, thus relieving stress and anxiety—two of the most common lifestyle disorders today.

There are specific mudras in yoga that guide energy flow to certain parts of the body. The practice of yoga mudras increases the flow of prana throughout the body. It can bring about changes in sensory organs, veins, and tendons. Most holistic sciences like yoga and Ayurveda are governed by air, water, fire, space, and earth.

Take the example of vayu mudra. It can help you balance the air element inside the body. The mudra helps in releasing excess air from the chest and stomach. You will definitely notice a difference in rheumatic pain after practicing this a few times. Likewise, the prithvi mudra helps to balance the earth element inside the body. You will see blood circulation improving manifold after you practice this diligently.

You can practice either of these or get treated under authentic practitioners; although the benefits are not instant, they are permanent in most cases. You can heal not only the body but your mind and soul as well.
